I am one of the authors of the Inclusion Nudges Guidebook (2nd edition 2016, 3rd edition 2020) together with Lisa Kepinski. Together we have coined the term Inclusion Nudges in 2013 and we have developed the Inclusion Nudges change approach and design methodology. An Inclusion Nudge is a behavioural design based on insights from behavioural and social sciences merged with in-depth insights about the hidden barriers to achieve inclusion, diversity, belongning, social cohesion, and equality. Inclusion Nudges influence the unconscious mind to be and do inclusion as the default and norm in everyday actions, leadership, decision making and basically everything we do as human beings in our lives and in our work.

The Inclusion Nudges Guidebook is part of the Inclusion Nudges global initiative and community. We founded this based on the belief that we have to fundamentally change the approach to how we can achieve more inclusive organisations, communities, cities, policies, and societies and that we can only do this together - that's why the initiative is based on sharing and reciprocity. Both Lisa and I are internationally-recognized and award-winning thought leaders and change makers in the field of inclusion, diversity, gender parity, and equality. We have a combined 45 years of experience in working both internally in global companies and as trusted external advisers and inclusion designers for multinationals, the public sector, NGOs, governments, the United Nations, civil society. We work in all sectors. We collaborate with world leaders, refugees, social entrepreneurs, investors, managers, civil servants, architects, urban developers, politicians, social workers, Human Resource professionals, innovators, marketeers, designers, product developers, and community members - basically we work everywhere, with everyone. We are sought-after influencers, keynote speakers, authors, and coaches on how people from a wide range of backgrounds can effectively apply behavioral designs to make inclusion the new normal everywhere, for everyone.

I am also the Founder of the change-organisation Move the Elephant for Inclusiveness (www.movetheelephant.org). I am an anthropologist, have studied psychology and behavioural economics, and I am a social entrepreneur.

In 2015 The World Economic Forum (WEF) honoured me as a Young Global Leader. I am an active part of this YGL community of 1000 leaders working together to improve the state of the world. I have been co-chairing the WEF Global Future Council on Behavioral Sciences 2016-18, I am a part of the WEF Expert Network, and I am a regular writer for the WEF blog Agenda. I am also fellow at RSA, and I serve on several boards as a volunteer for socially-oriented initiatives. I previously worked as Global Head of Inclusion, Diversity, and Collaboration in a global manufacturing coorporation, Arla Foods, and prior to that as a project leader and consultant at the Danish Institute for Human Rights.

I have lived in many countries, I have hitchhiked across Europe, I have played basketball on the Danish Youth National Team and college basketball at University of San Francisco (and for people caring about US college basketball, I feel inclined to just mention here, that we were in the Sweet 16). I started working when I was 13-years-old; cleaning at hospitals, as a caretaker of adults with disability. I have worked kindergardens, in restaurants, bars, factories. I have tried my share of diverse jobs and professions. I grew up in the countryside in a working class family with lots of love and playfulness. Today, I live in Denmark with my three daughters Freja, Rosa, and Sigrid, and my husband, Troels who works with young adults on the autism spectrum. Social work is a natural part of our life. Everyday, I feel humbled to live a privileged life.
