Mark J. Edmondson is an author, born in Bolton, but now living in Atherton, Manchester.
Writing has been a big part of his life for a long time and more books are to be released very soon.
Mark fell into the world of fiction when very young, after finding a copy of Jaws. The surprise of how different a book can be from the film excited him into reading as many books as possible. From then on, he never went anywhere without one.
Mark has spent most of his adult life being self-employed, owning three different tropical fish stores around the north-west of England. Now owning just one, Amazon Aquatics in Leigh which has just celebrated 20 years in business.
Leaving the store in the capable hands of his long-serving staff, Mark has now stepped away to concentrate on other vocations. In 2022 he completed a zookeeping diploma and now works full time at Wild Discovery in Preston as an educational zookeeper.
But writing is a passion he just can't turn his back on. Four books published so far, one ready for publication in the summer of 2026, and another novel half way through, Mark is fully committed to producing more books for his following of readers.
The Beast of Bodmin, a crime fiction story set in Cornwall was originally released in 2018, followed by Greysands, a creepy tale set in a dying seaside town, released two years later.
All Alone, released in 2022, is a suspense novel, the first in The Whitford Stories.
Revenge or Silence , a murder/mystery novella set in the wilds of Scotland was released later that year.
His new novel, another Whitford story is out soon..
