Dyan Dubois

Dyan Dubois paints stories with words. Weaving respect for world cultures, employing malleable time, and sprinkling plots with mythological whispers, Dyan creates stories that pose “what if” scenarios. Where mystery meets adventure, the characters respond to a call for duty and find strength in a noble purpose.

After graduating from college, she hitchhiked through Europe and lived in Africa. Later she often visited India, her husband’s birthplace, and nearby countries. A Fulbright Scholarship provided the opportunity to experience Mauritius and Madagascar during her college art professor era. Travel plays a major role in Dyan's personal development as it does in her characters.

Currently, she lives in the Sierra Mountains of California with coyotes–and bears who occasionally break in looking for porridge–where she communes with nature, writes, paints, and makes stained glass panels…until the next trip.
