Beverly Bell

UPDATE: "The Murder of Marion Miley" was a finalist for the 2020 USGA Herbert Warren Wind Book Award. This is the highest literary honor given by the United States Golf Association.

Beverly Bell's interest in golfer Marion Miley began with a piece she wrote for Women's Sports and Fitness magazine. Her crime writing has won awards from the Indiana Professional Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and her other unpublished novel (in-progress) was named a semi-finalist in the William Faulkner-William Wisdom competition. Her work has appeared in Arizona Highways, Indianapolis Monthly, Keeneland Magazine and Kentucky Monthly. She is also a featured consultant in Kentucky Educational Television's recent Marion Miley documentary. Bell's magazine profiles include a Pulitzer Prize winning author, an Indy 500 champion, a national sports broadcaster, politicians, CEO's and entrepreneurs.
