I write and illustrate using two hats: as a mother of four young children and as a Speech and Language Therapist. Writing and illustrating are irresistible and keep me sane!

As a mother of four young children, when one of them gets stuck in their learning, I write them a story to help them understand.

My Speech and Language Therapy hat helps me break down into smaller chunks whatever it is they are stuck on.

Sometimes new skills that can sometimes feel a bit daunting. Breaking them down into more manageable chunks and attaching characters or scenes to them, turns it into an adventure. No pressure for children or their grown ups. Just an opportunity to discover new ideas in the most natural of ways – through storytelling.
