Vashti Stopher Klein

Vashti Stopher Klein, based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, is a multifaceted talent who has earned awards for her work as a filmmaker, singer-songwriter, and poet. She hails from a rich musical heritage, with her grandfather serving as the Founder and Director of the Louisiana State University School of Music for over three decades, and her grandmother being the author of the first Louisiana State Song, "The Song of Louisiana." During her youth, Vashti pursued her passion for singing locally, but as her filmmaking career blossomed, it gradually became her primary focus.

Driven by a desire to create artistic works that leave a positive impact on the world, she established Butterfly Effect Productions, Inc. In 2014, she unveiled her debut album, "The Heart of Things," followed by the release of "Path to the Sun, Moon, and Stars" in 2017. More recently, she released three singles, "Because You Loved Me," "Whatever he Wants" and "Shall I." She has also written and produced a dozen videopoems viewable on her website Gallery.

Subsequently, Vashti chose to immortalize her poetry and music in a book called "The Soprano, the Monster and the Dragonslayer," and approached Carol Collett Desert Studio, to lend her extraordinary artistic skills, which are brilliantly showcased within the book's pages.

Her second book of poetry, "the Umbrella Fixer," was released in 2024.

Vashti maintains her passion for music, songwriting, as well as crafting short stories, film, and poetry. She holds a deep conviction in the healing power of the arts.
