Kate WJ White

Kate WJ White is a British writer and teacher whose fiction explores gothic worlds, dreams, psychological unease and the strange places where reality begins to shift.

Her books include the dark fantasy Caskets of Ice, gothic science-fiction romance Dormara, and the interconnected Hartshaw Manor stories Tales from the Manor and The Season of the Rose. Across genres, her work is drawn to atmospheric settings, hidden identities, unreliable realities, obsession, memory and the unsettling possibility that some places may have minds of their own.

When she isn’t writing, Kate can usually be found photographing beautiful things, collecting vintage books and objects, or adding yet another unusual find to a shelf that probably didn’t need it.
