Carol Ann Soisson

Carol Ann Soisson started her writing career many years ago by writing very short stories on very small scraps of paper and adding her own crayon illustrations. She was excited and honored when, as a high school sophomore (who no longer added crayon illustrations), she was selected to attend the Breadloaf Young Writer's Conference in Breadloaf, Vermont. In 2002, Carol was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Children's Fiction Category of the 71st Annual Writer's Digest Writing Competition for a short story called The Double-Digit Birthday Blooper Curse. She was first published in 2008, when she wrote several Scripture meditations for a periodical called Living Faith Daily Catholic Devotions. Carol's biggest writing achievement to date is Snowmallows - her first book for children - which she independently published through her company, Shepherd's Companion Press, LLC.
