About Dr. Ripal Ranpara

Dr. Ripal Ranpara is a Professor at Marwadi University, Rajkot, and an accomplished academic leader, researcher, and international mentor recognized for her pioneering contributions in Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, and Ontology-driven Intelligent Systems. With over a decade of higher education, research, and academic leadership experience, she has consistently advanced the integration of innovation, ethics, and global collaboration in academia.

A DAAD Fellow and one of India’s youngest recipients of this prestigious fellowship, Dr. Ranpara has represented India at leading universities and research institutions across Germany, the Netherlands, France, Amsterdam, Hamburg, and Berlin. She is a Senior Member of IEEE and INAE and currently serves as an Executive Board Member of ACM2Y (USA) and President of the ACM Task Force Committee, contributing to global research and computing initiatives.

Dr. Ranpara’s scholarly portfolio includes 30+ peer-reviewed publications, 13 authored books, multiple funded research projects, patents, and editorial roles in Scopus-indexed journals. As a reviewer for Web of Science and Springer-indexed journals, she actively promotes research quality and ethical standards within the global academic community. She currently supervises eight Ph.D. scholars—four as a primary guide and four as a co-guide—in the areas of Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, and Ontology Engineering.

Her strategic leadership is reflected in the design and development of postgraduate programs in Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security under the Vision India initiative, aligning academic curricula with emerging industry and societal needs. She has successfully secured national and international research grants and support from organizations such as AICTE, ACM, DAAD, and the WISER Quantum Program, demonstrating her ability to lead impactful and outcome-driven research initiatives.

At the national level, Dr. Ranpara contributes to India’s innovation ecosystem as a core committee member, evaluator, mentor, and juror for flagship initiatives including Smart India Hackathon, Toycathon, and Manthan, organized by the Ministry of Education and AICTE. Internationally, she serves as a juror and evaluator for prestigious scholarship, innovation, and educational programs associated with the United Nations, UNESCO, IEEE TryEngineering, and AICTE.

She is also a nominated member of the National Working Group on Quantum Technology (TEC, Government of India) and serves as the National President of the WICCI AI & ML R&D Council, where she leads initiatives focused on women’s empowerment, research mentorship, and capacity building in emerging technologies.

Her contributions have been recognized through numerous honors, including the Best Woman in ICT Technology Award, Indian Achievers Woman of Excellence Award, and Young Achiever Award, among several national and international recognitions.

With participation in 42 international advisory boards, 289 technical program committees, and numerous global collaborations, Dr. Ranpara continues to strengthen the bridge between academia, research, industry, and innovation. Her academic vision is rooted in interdisciplinary excellence, faculty empowerment, ethical leadership, and global engagement, driving institutions and individuals toward meaningful impact and sustainable growth.
