Misty Blue Reign is the debut fictional short story written by Mel Beng. Writing was not a part of Mel’s bucket list. With the encouragement of her author friends, she stepped out of her comfort zone of working behind the scenes and started sharing small samples of her writing. Her readers kept asking for more and eventually birthed her first short story Misty Blue Reign.
Mel Beng was born in Chicago and raised in Belize. She is a daughter of proud Garifuna parents and a mother of one son Trey. She enjoys road trips. You can usually find her with a packed suitcase and a full tank of gas heading somewhere. The road brings her a sense of calmness. So much so, it has been her inspiration to write her second book: Pardon Me, I’m under construction. A woman’s guide to rebuilding herself after losing everything.
