Bill Stein

Bill Stein is a husband, father, retired dentist, Catholic deacon, writer, humorist, satirist, chef, editor, photographer, scuba diving instructor, In Fisherman Master Angler, Dental Missionary to Haiti, underwater video producer, gadabout, raconteur, bon vivant, man about town and observer of the general situation but most of all he is just a goofy old coot who lives on a lake.

Bill has received many awards for his work as the Executive Editor of Northwest Dentistry, contributions to the advancement of the profession of dentistry and humanitarian work in the country of Haiti.

Stein lives in the beautiful lake country of Aitkin, Minnesota with his lovely wife of over fifty years, Terry, dog Tilly and cat Mitzi. His book “Tales from Lard Lake” is a compilation of twenty years of his popular “Lard Lake” column published in the Aitkin Independent Age newspaper.
