Charles Hilton is the founder of Charles Hilton Architects, an award-winning firm based in Greenwich, Connecticut. Hilton graduated with Distinction from The Pennsylvania State University and studied abroad at the Technische University in Darmstadt. During his time in Germany, he traveled extensively throughout Western Europe formulating his ideas about the role of classical architecture in the modern world.
Over the past 32 years, Hilton has overseen hundreds of residential projects across the country, with the vast majority being in and around Greenwich, Connecticut. As an architect, Hilton is committed to designing imaginative buildings that delight and inspire, and to creating a humanistic architecture that embodies the aspirations of his clients. His work represents a wide variety of traditional vocabularies executed with meticulous detailing and the finest quality craftsmanship. Hilton's work has been featured in more than 100 regional and national publications focusing on such topics as traditional residential design, waterfront houses, green design and historic preservation. Hilton has also been the recipient of over 50 design awards from organizations such as the AIA, the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art. He is also a member of the New England Design Hall of Fame and a Top 50 Coastal Architect.
