Barney Doyle

Barney Doyle has been fascinated with crime stories since he was a child. So fascinated, in fact, that he gave up a brief and unremarkable career as a newspaper reporter to become a police officer. He has been in law enforcement for 13 years (and counting), and has investigated everything from nuisance barking dogs to capital murder. Barney writes in his spare time and his first nonfiction work, Reckless Speculation about Murder, has been described by critics as unlike any other true crime book on the market.
