Adrian Webster

Adrian Webster played for the Seattle Sounders NASL ’74-’79. As a young lad growing up in England, his favourite players were Pele and George Best.

In 1977, Head Coach Jimmy Gabriel made him team captain and that season he lead his team to the Soccer Bowl Final in Portland. On the way to the final, he was voted Man of the Match for his man-marking performance on George Best and in the final he came up against his other idol, Pele.

During his six seasons with the Sounders, he played with and against some of the greats of that era.
