John Greville

Born in San Francisco, John was 6 months old when he found himself on a slow freighter bound for Karachi, his family's first Foreign Service post. John has never lost his love of the sea, or of wandering: treks in the Libyan Desert by Land Rover, solo hiking through the mountains of Wales, a year of study in Göttingen, Germany, and many adventures in the North Cascades near his home in the Seattle area. He is retired from a career in educational technology and devotes his time to writing, spending time with his family, and looking after his four West Highland White Terriers.

John has written a collection of poems, three fantasy novels and several short stories, and has had pieces published in regional literary magazines. He is most interested in the intersection of mythology and history, in particular the centuries-long struggle between an aggressive and violent patriarchy and sporadically resurgent movements for the rights of women.
