Jason L. Meriwether

Dr. Jason L. Meriwether is a scholar and experienced leader in higher education with research interests in hazing prevention, enrollment management, student retention, digital learning tools, adult student success, and social media engagement. Jason is the editor of Prioritizing Enrollment Management: Effective Practices and Strategies for Student Success and Completion, published by Routledge in 2024 and is the editor of Dismantling Hazing in Greek-Letter Organizations: Effective Practices for Prevention, Response, and Campus Engagement. Jason is also a contributing author of What Happens on Campus Stays on YouTube.

A hazing prevention educator and professional speaker for Greek University, Jason has served colleges and universities all over the United States and his commentary on hazing-related issues has been featured by such news organizations as Headline News and the Christian Science Monitor. Jason has conducted over two hundred national, international, and virtual presentations on legal issues related to hazing and has served as an expert witness and consultant in multiple hazing-related lawsuits.

Jason also provides consultation services to help universities navigate enrollment management challenges by providing guidance to develop sustainable infrastructure, write collaborative strategic enrollment plans, and conduct comprehensive program reviews.

In 2016, Jason was named to the Southern Indiana Business Source 20 under 40 Class of 2016. In 2014, Jason was selected to Louisville Business First’s Top Forty under 40 and as one of Business First's 20 People to Know in Education and Workforce Development. In 2014, Jason received the award of Outstanding Kentuckian and was commissioned to the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
