Antonio Biggio

Antonio Biggio is an Italian-born writer with a background in theatre spanning more than three decades.

He trained as an actor and director in Rome at Cinecittą and went on to work extensively in theatre as a performer, playwright, director, and production manager. Over the years, he founded and led several theatre companies and staged more than eighty productions, ranging from classical drama to contemporary theatre and cabaret. That experience shaped a narrative style that is visual, rhythmic, and driven by tension.

In 2013, he relocated to the United Kingdom, where he currently lives with his family.

Biggio made his literary debut in 1991 with the poetry collection Amore Teatro Malinconia. In 2020, he translated into Italian Loopyworld – The Iron Maiden Years by former Iron Maiden roadie Steve “Loopy” Newhouse, published by Tsunami Edizioni.

His thriller trilogy centered on Andrew Briggs and Iron Maiden began with Eddie Must Die (2021), continued with Eddie’s Grave (2022), and concluded with The Three Eddies’ Enigma, which debuted as a preview at the Turin International Book Fair in 2023. The series has been published in English and Spanish and has reached readers in more than 35 countries.

In 2024, he was awarded the Prize for Italian Literature in the World at Sanremo Writers, recognizing his work and its international impact.

His writing blends thriller storytelling, rock culture, and contemporary themes, drawing on a lifelong connection between music, performance, and narrative tension.
