Lori grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She studied nutrition and culinary arts but considers her real education the years she spent sitting on her parents’ kitchen counter, licking batter from spatulas and dipping bread into bubbling sauces. Her mission is to write the books she would have loved as a kid—books with relatable characters whose lives and lessons are shaped by the foods they eat, cook, and share. Macaroni Slippers is a rhyming picture book that puts the petite on Bon Appetite! Fig Wheatley and the Circle of Lunch is an early middle-grade novel with vivid food imagery that explores the themes of family, friendship, and learning to love yourself.
