T.G. Maye is a Jamaican author from Cauldwell, in Western Hanover.
The third child of four, he grew up in the rural and hilly community of Cauldwell, Hanover. After attending the Pell River Basic and Primary Schools, he went on to Rusea’s High School, where he achieved creditable passes in English and several other subjects.
From a young age, he relished wandering through the magical realms in books, and the retelling of such stories. Inexplicably, he spent hours in local libraries reading until closing time, and could often be seen book in hand throughout his community.
In 2013, his yearning to write led him to pen Sunshine Bliss, his debut novel on a mobile phone.
After migrating to the UK, he studied at Waltham Forest College, where he earned the highest marks in the English Language exams, 2018-19.
Since then, he has gone on to write several children's book titles.
•Furry's Frantic Journey
•The Mule and the Donkey
• Bingi and the Seagull
• The Meadowans of Merry Meadows (Book one in an easy reader series)
A believer in giving back to his community, he donates copies of his work for the children in his former schools. In addition, he is about to commence a voluntary program in sports and mentorship at his former primary school.
Currently, living in London, his goal is to pen stories, which encapsulates minority backgrounds and characters. Such as upcoming works, Kirabo and the Obeahman's Sketch Pad, Ms Gladys the Forgetful Shopkeeper and Tarrick and the Wonderhouse.
