Daniel Van Deest

Daniel Van Deest (1972 - ) was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. His love for the arts started in high school. He wrote poetry and short stories. He also performed in school plays and in oral interpretation. After graduating high school, he worked in various manufacturing and retail fields. His passion for artistic expression continued in his devotion to music, books, and movies. In 2018, he published his first book. "Balance: A Detective Lindstrom Story" is set in the city that he grew up in. More importantly, "Balance" is a tribute to his wife, a breast cancer survivor, whose battle inspired him to bring this work of fiction to print.
