Michael John Ricketts (1977) was born in Northampton but grew up in Milton Keynes. A keen writer of poetry, lyrics and stories for most of his life. One of his first stories was 'Changing Colours' written when he was 14. Since then he has written a variety of stories, including 'The Love Train I Missed!' and 'Mr Fake. What draws me to a story is that it intrigues me. He is always thinking of stories that are different and imaginative. Also, the way he writes stories would excite and fascinate you.
At the moment he is working on a thriller 'When Blood Mixes' which is set in the future and will be about a murderer who is a robot and can change its features to look like the person he kills. After having a relationship with one of his victims, he decides to mimic a man he killed and then go into the man's family. But realises he likes being in this family. He is also working on a romantic comedy set in 1840 about a continuation of the novel 'Emma' by Jane Austen and is about her son Benjamin who is a relationship councillor and is trying to fix all the relationships his mother has messed up 25 years on. She comes back as a ghost to help him find love.
