David B Funk

David Funk grew up in rolling hills of upstate New York. When he was 22, he joined the Army and served for 22 years as an enlisted soldier and officer. After his Army career, he continued to work in the telecommunications area. David currently works as an engineer while following his passion for writing.

David attempts to view the world from the eyes of a child. He enjoys stepping back in time and remembering just how far a child’s imagination will take them as he attempts to capture that magic in his stories. He believes that children live in a world where there is always one more "Great Big Adventure" just waiting around the next corner. As we begin to see the world through their eyes, we are reminded of just how exciting life can be.

David also co-authors children’s books with Afsaneh (Afy) Bagherloo. Afy and David began working together as author and illustrator of children’s books in 2019 which later grew into the publishing of multiple coauthored books.
