I am a Connecticut transplant enjoying retirement in the Florida sunshine. I have often said that I enjoy seeing PICTURES of the snow we left behind.
My early years provided decades of experience in software engineering, architectural design, and residential construction. I was noted for my volunteer efforts on the Extreme Makeover project in Voluntown, Connecticut in December of 2008. My castle design was shown on television around the world. My photographic chronology of the project was the subject of my book "Project 615" in 2009, and my 10th anniversary edition called "The Castle in Voluntown" released in 2019.
I have traveled for both business and personal exploration to places in the US and abroad. I have been to Hawaii, Alaska, Arizona, and many points in between. I have seen Scotland, England, and Ireland. I have even been to Hogwarts (of Harry Potter fame) in North Umberland, UK.
My retirement years are filled with activities like golf, board gaming, biking, wood carving and writing. I find that I especially like to articulate events in my life into articles for the GuildSong, an anthology of poems and stories written by members of the Writers Guild from the Plantation at Leesburg, Florida. I am also looking forward to documenting my volunteer work on a carving project celebrating the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower. It took thirty of us to complete this project in a year and a half. You can read the introduction to this story in my Kindle book called "The Mayflower's Shadow."
