It has become clear that AI is invading the historical romance space and I think it imperative for every author to make their stance known regarding if and how they use AI. I have written a full statement on my website but assuming you do not have time to visit and read it, here is the short answer on my use of AI:

Never. NOT FOR ANYTHING AT ALL. PERIOD. Any book with my name on it has been written by me with no interaction with AI. Not Grammarly, not co-pilot, not Chat GPT, not anything but me and my keyboard.

Now back to our regular programming...

I am the author of 30+ regency romances, including the series: Chemsworth Hall, The Dukes' Pact, A Series of Worthy Young Ladies, A Very Fine Muddle, A Series of Senseless Complications, The League of Meddling Butlers, and The Spectacular Swinsons. All my books are available in KU.

By the time I was eleven, my Irish Nana and I had formed a book club of sorts. On a timetable only known to herself, my Nana would grab her blackthorn walking stick and steam down to the local Woolworth’s. There, she would buy the latest Barbara Cartland romance, hurry home to read it accompanied by viciously strong wine, (Wild Irish Rose, if you’re wondering) and then pass the book on to me. I was very interested in the gentlemen in those stories—daring, bold, and often enraging and unaccountable. (Even at their worst, they were far superior to the middle school boys in my class, lol) After my Barbara Cartland phase, I went on to Georgette Heyer, Jane Austen and so many other gifted authors blessed with the ability to bring the Georgian and Regency eras to life.

My romances are closed door but not prudish and without religious overtones. I do like comedy (a lot) and I especially like a servant's point of view to be included. Give me a butler who is stoic on the outside and raging on the inside any day.
