Aurora Cooper

Aurora Cooper is one of the leading voices of modern yoga whose work celebrates the beauty in the simple, mundane gifts of everyday life and the grace of the present. Aurora has practiced meditation for over 20 years and brings her extensive background to her practice and teachings.

She has taught at meditation centers across the United States, and even abroad through online sessions. Meditation sparked Aurora’s interest as a young adult who was struggling with her mental health. What helped her through all her difficulties and grow into a well-rounded person was meditation’s focus on compassion, mindfulness, and kindness not just for others, but also for herself.

Aurora has a life-long passion in learning more about the ancient teachings of Buddha, and how they are relevant to modern life. This passion brought her all over Asia, especially India, to study more about meditation, yoga, and reiki healing techniques.

When she’s not working, Aurora likes to sit out on her porch, listening to classical and relaxing music, as she ponders about the wonders of life and its hidden meanings.

Her latest book, “Yoga and Meditation”, is a unique 2-in-1 guide that brings together yoga, meditation, Chakra, and Reiki basics, as well as Yoga Sutras and Yoga Nidra principles. It also includes a comprehensive introduction to Buddhism, including its origins, fundamental principles, and philosophy.
