Roger Eddy is a retired teacher, coach, HS Principal, School Superintendent, Executive Director and was elected to the Illinois House of Representatives five times. His career in education spanned almost forty years. During his tenure on the Illinois House, Eddy built a reputation as an expert in educational issues and was a member of the Special Investigative Committee of the Illinois House which recommended the Impeachment of Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich.
Roger retired in July of 2018 after serving as the Executive Director of The Illinois Association of School Boards for over six years. He and his wife, Rebecca have been married for forty years and have five grown and married children. They also have five grandchildren with their sixth grandchild due in October of 2020. Roger and Becca currently reside in rural Hutsonville, Illinois where Roger worked as Superintendent of Schools for sixteen years. In retirement, Roger stays involved in education issues and has developed and implemented a new teacher induction and mentoring program and also enjoys substitute teaching.
