Jennifer Smith Jochen

Jennifer Smith Jochen has been an educator since 2003 most recently in middle school math (7th Grade, 8th Grade, and Special Education Math) and prior to that, she worked in 2nd Grade and 5th Grade where she was one of the go-to Math Teachers on campus. Jennifer has a passion for not only the understanding of Math but the ability to work with students based on their needs and their passions to make things connect.

Beginning in 2013, Jennifer ventured out on her own to help teachers in their classrooms to make the most out of working with students nationwide. Jennifer continues to do intensive research on interactive learning through Interactive Notebooks and Math Workshop as well as working with schools throughout the United States. Through that research and one-on-one work she has developed a company, Smith Curriculum and Consulting, that currently services all 50 states and over 40 countries in six out of the seven continents.
