Stuart Matthews

Stuart started writing poetry at the age of 20, never really writing seriously, it was more of a hobby for his own amusement. Over time, however, as more people began to read his poetry, his confidence in sharing his work grew. He started sharing his poems on social media and the feed back was very encouraging,

His inspiration for poetry began when he heard the lyrics and poems of Jim Morrison of The Doors and later on in Stuart's writing life, he began writing poetry on social media and would use poetry prompts provided by other fantastic poets, some of the poems inspired by these prompts are in his books.

Recently, Stuart has started writing short stories for children. Dedicated to his nieces.

After being diagnosed with and cured of 2 types of cancer in 2016, he felt the time was right to consider publishing his own books.
