Glenis K Scadding

Glenis Scadding has had an interesting and distinguished medical career as an allergist, working mainly on the respiratory tract.Her training included stints in Uganda and Nepal as well as darkest Bloomsbury. She has lectured in most parts of the world, undertaken research and written scientific papers and textbooks.

Now, in semi- retirement, she has turned her hand to writing fiction. Her first novel, „Colchicum- a cure for dementia“ was written after her husband died with Alzheimer’s disease, partly to help to explain the disease and research into it, to others who might be struggling to understand what is happening to them or to a loved one. Her second book, „Significant others“ was written whilst she was stranded in Cyprus, thanks to COVID. Currently she is writng a third novel and producing a number of short stories, some of which are free on her website
