Omkar Ambulkar

As a child, Omkar Ambulkar spent much of his free time reading authors such as Mark Twain and Enid Blyton. Inspired by their ability to create entire worlds and compelling narratives, he began writing short stories and poems for school and local newspapers in India, nurturing a lifelong love for the written word.

Writing temporarily took a back seat as Omkar pursued a career in transaction banking. His passion for storytelling, however, remained strong, sustained by an enduring appetite for books by authors ranging from Sidney Sheldon to Jeffrey Archer.

Determined to hold on to his creative ambitions despite a demanding professional life, Omkar spent years honing his craft and developing ideas that had long occupied the back of his mind. In 2020, he became a published author with the *Reshaped* trilogy, which follows the journey of a down-and-out man given an opportunity to rebuild his life.

Having previously lived in Singapore, Omkar now resides in Australia with his wife and daughter. He continues to work in transaction banking while pursuing two of his oldest passions—writing and playing cricket. A citizen of the world and a self-described believer in love at first sight, he writes whenever he can and finds inspiration in books, sport and the many experiences life brings.
