Raffaele Castelli

I was born in a small mountain town, where I still live today. I studied architecture at Sapienza University of Rome and earned my degree several years ago. During my professional career as a designer, I had little time or opportunity to write books. Once that first phase of my life came to an end, I returned to my long-standing passion for writing.

I have published almost all of my books on Amazon. As of January 2026, there are about eighty titles, spanning novels, crime fiction, poetry, essays, handbooks, and other genres. Readers can choose based on the title and the free excerpt available on each book’s dedicated page. If they wish, they may also contact me directly; my email address and website can be found in the opening pages of those excerpts.

Among the countless reviews that appear on the platform—even for books of poor quality—it is difficult to find one that is truly genuine. The vast majority are false or even purchased through systems readily available online. In my previous professional work, I also developed technical and other types of software, so I am well aware of how the so-called “wonders” of information technology operate. Should anyone who reads these notes decide to purchase (or consider purchasing) one of my books, they are welcome to write a review, which would be sincerely appreciated. In any case, such feedback helps me improve my future work, and for that I am grateful.

I should also add that, after encountering numerous unscrupulous traditional publishers who demand money from authors, I decided to devote part of my work to helping new writers. Through my website, I therefore offer the services needed to self-publish directly on Amazon. After years of experience, I believe I understand the mechanics of this process well, and it seemed illogical not to put that knowledge to use—not only for myself, but above all for others.

I believe the worst kind of book is one that bores the reader—not only because of its subject, but because of the way it is communicated, especially when it lacks imagination, irony, and humanity toward its audience. This belief has become a guiding principle for me, one I keep in mind every time I turn on my computer and begin to write again.
