Maggie Babb

Maggie Babb is a multi-genre artist interested in investigative and documentary poetics.

Her work has appeared in Rue Scribe, The Purpled Nail, True Chili and Enheduanna Journal.

Maggie was born in 1949 in Baltimore, Maryland. She grew up on a small farm in Baltimore County, Maryland surrounded and educated by wildness. She survived traditional education to be nourished by exploring the invisible worlds hidden in plain sight everywhere. She finds inspiration in digging in the dirt, noodling with art and getting pencil and ink to paper. A member of the East Coast Hollowdeck Writer’s Guild, she hosts a monthly writers group, The Firedrake Writers, a diverse group of brave, supportive poets, memorialists and novelists.
