Michael Marshall

I am an inverse paranoid. I believe the whole world is out to help me. My purpose in life is to return the favor.

Michael was always the new kid in school. Growing up, he attended four different elementary schools.

Michael wants you to know that he did not get kicked out of those schools. He is the proud son of a U.S. Navy Sailor who moved from base to base throughout his years of service. Those four schools could not have been more different: one on the East Coast, one in the Northwest, one on a small island in the Pacific and one in the Midwest.

Michael has never forgotten what it feels like to be the outsider. He knows firsthand how kids react to those who are different–the strange looks, the whispers, the isolation. Those early life lessons and more are felt in his latest book, Harry Hugger and Field Trip Friday.

How kids treat people who are different is learned behavior. Michael hopes this book will start a positive discussion surrounding that topic.
