Wayne Sherrard

Wayne Sherrard grew up in a Royal Canadian Air Force family and lived on seven different military air bases before he turned eighteen. He became a Queen Scout as a teenager and grew up to become an electrical engineer, which often took him into Canada's fascinating, beautiful and unforgiving Arctic. While running a high-tech manufacturing company, he began writing manuals for his products, fell in love with writing, and started to study creative writing.

Wayne was born in Nova Scotia, Canada in 1948. He is now retired from engineering and lives in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with his wife and muse Eileen, with whom he shares three adult children and three grandchildren.

When he's not writing and reading, he's painting contemporary art, which you can view at

His debut book, released in May 2020, is called "Really, Granddad?". He is currently working on his second non-fiction book tentatively called "That Summer in Jasper Park".
