Clarissa Kae draws from her Spanish and Mexican heritage as a fresh voice in historical and women’s fiction. Her work often echoes the tension and beauty of the ancient world where love and forbidden truths fight for dominance.

Former president of her local California Writers Club, Clarissa has spent her early career with Pitch Perfect Conference, Writer’s Digest and Equus. She’s dedicated countless hours to mentoring fellow authors before founding Carpe Vitam Press.

With numerous awards to her name, she continues to honor the timeless role of storyteller, weaving myth and history into evocative, emotionally rich narratives.

She holds a degree in animal and veterinary genetics and carries a lifelong devotion to animals and their welfare—but nothing gives her more joy than her family and beloved Friesians.
