Denise O'Hagan

Denise O’Hagan is an award-winning editor and poet, born in Rome and based in Sydney. She has a background in commercial book publishing in the UK and Australia. Recipient of the Dalkey Poetry Prize and former poetry editor (Australia/NZ) for Irish literary journal 'The Blue Nib', her work is published internationally and has been shortlisted in the ACU Poetry Prize, the Robert Graves Poetry Prize and the Plough Writing Prize (UK).

Her poetry collections include 'Anamnesis' (Recent Work Press 2022), finalist in the Eric Hoffer Book Award 2023, and 'The Beating Heart' (Ginninderra Press 2020), shortlisted for Society of Women Writers NSW Book Awards 2022.
