ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Native of Salem, Massachusetts, the author was brought up as an Irish boy in a Polish community. Following his service in the Marines, he came home and went back to several engineering institutes in Boston. After graduating he began his career in the electronics industry. His career as an accomplish engineer spans decades in a highly technical field, and his achievements go far beyond engineering. He has held top-secret and secret clearances while working on government projects for some of the nation’s largest contractors. A few titles held by him are operations manager, engineering manager, manufacturing engineer, general manager, and owner of an electronics company. He has testified before the Senate Small Business Subcommittee Washington, DC, on behalf of SBDCs. He testified before the House Small Business Subcommittee Washington, DC, on behalf of government procurement “set a side” for small business. He was a delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business appointed by Senator Warren B. Rudman in 1986. Served on the SBA-SBDC National Advisory Board three-year term Washington, DC, and served as chairman of the board. He served on the board of trustees of the National Small Business United Washington, DC. He also was the first executive director of the American Independent Museum. After a distinguished career in the engineering and the business world, now in his eighties, he decided to write about his unusual growing up in the 1940s–1950s and beyond, comparing the difference to current times. His account of a successful life being married to his wife of sixty-five years before her death in 2018 was because of true love. He met her when he was fifteen years old. He has determined one inspiration missing from today’s world; it is true love!
