Andrew Clegg enjoyed writing from a young age. Growing up, he wrote short stories based on video games he liked or strange dreams he recalled. At 18, Clegg began writing his first novel, The Lost Child, after signing up for a Fiction and Poetry Workshop at Hanover College. He took inspiration from many of his favorite stories, citing Harry Potter and Game of Thrones to be among his biggest influences. At only 21, Clegg published this debut novel in the summer before his senior year. Outside of writing, Clegg is known for running on both the Track and Field and Cross Country teams at Hanover, as well as being a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
