Roy Mitchell

Roy Mitchell, Psy.D.

Dr. Mitchel is a Licensed Psychologist with training and experience working with individuals with known or suspected neurologic disorders, severe mental illness, mood disorders, substance abuse, and personality disorders. He has worked extensively with at-risk youth through home-based therapy for school-referred clients, brain-injured patients utilizing neuropsychological services, and diverse prison populations in inpatient and outpatient units. Dr. Mitchell is also a published author on topics of stress and cognition in Black men.

Dr. Mitchell earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Neuropsychology, from the Florida School of Professional Psychology. He completed his clinical internship with the Florida Department of Corrections, working with incarcerated men and women with co-occurring severe mental illness and substance use disorders. He also completed formal training in neuropsychological Services, community mental health, and the Veteran population. Lastly, he has extensive experience conducting comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological assessments in hospitals and private practice settings.
