Clive Hardwick

Clive Hardwick was born in Oldham, Lancashire where he learned to speak the language of 'By Gum'. When he was nine years old, his parents thought it would be a good idea to move south to High Wycombe. A northern lad down south is a recipe for disaster and ridicule. When he was sixteen the family moved to Royal Leamington Spa, and, at the age of sixty-nine, Clive still lives in Warwick, a couple of miles away. He is married to Liz, has two sons, James and Matthew, and five grandchildren, Sonny, Cadie, Marley, Lilia, and Lexi. After writing poetry for years, he began his first novel in 2014, whilst still at work. Except from working fifteen hours per week at the local pub, he is now retired and concentrates on writing. He published his first novel, Chanter's Hide, in June 2020.
