My name is Kyle Thomas Smith. I am the author of the novel 85A (Bascom Hill, 2010) and the cross-genre humor memoir Cockloft: Scenes from a Gay Marriage (Gatekeeper Press, 2018). I write more for meditation than publication but, when I do write for publication, I mostly enjoy writing vignettes, personal essays, and anecdotes. I have an MFA in Creative Writing from City University of New York--Queens College. I was born and raised in Chicago but moved to New York in my twenties, so I consider it my hometown. A few years ago, my husband and I moved from Brooklyn to San Francisco, though. We'll see where life takes us next. Whatever happens, you can bet that it won't escape my pen.
