R. B. Young

R.B. Young is a Canadian writer and author of the novel CRIMES OF DISRESPECT. He is also a painter and a (very bad) blues guitarist. Having worked in architecture, urban planning, and web design, he has devoted himself since 2009 to writing. Earlier, in the 1980s, he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at York University, Toronto, and a B.Arch. at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver.

In 2011, Young's short story "Eudaimonia" was shortlisted for Hamilton's gritLIT festival award. Another of his stories—"Old Softie," published in the anthology Postscripts to Darkness—was discussed in 2012 on CBC Radio One Ottawa. Finally, Young's short story "Paper Icon" appears in the book POLISH(ED): POLAND ROOTED IN CANADIAN FICTION (Toronto: Guernica Editions, 2017).
