Daniel Mello

Oblivious at the time, those short stories I scribbled as a child were the nascent wildflowers of creativity blossoming in my own meadow of tales. Over the years, my writings, whether personal, academic, or for joy, have morphed with my identity, becoming a dependable avenue for introspection and reflection. In fact, it was early in my academic career when I began receiving visions of a young lady imprisoned by her native kingdom. Empathizing with her struggle for destiny and expressive freedom, I instantly fell for Lythina Graham, whose story fueled my first novel, *Wind*. Lythina’s quest, from heaven to hell and back, continues to drive my curiosity about humanity’s link to legend, archetypal energy, and the natural world, urging my onward to explore Hyrendell’s shadowed past and unpredictable future! Today, as a psychology educator & researcher, novelist, and nature devotee, I am continually inspired by Jung’s theories and the mystique of global spiritual teachings. Whenever empirical prose feels arid, I plunge back into Hyrendell, and I hope you'll join me!
