Nicolette McFadyen

Nicky McFadyen was born in South Africa before moving with her family to St Louis, Missouri, USA for a number of years before returning to beautiful Cape Town. She now lives with her three children and husband in Portugal. After finishing her law degree she worked in Marketing for a number of international multinational companies before following her passion for writing. Her debut children's books "I’m going to be a BIG BROTHER", and "I'm going to be a BIG SISTER" was born from appreciating the importance of equipping her little ones with the emotional vocabulary of naming their feelings in lieu of a new sibling's arrival. Her latest book "First Day of School" follows the same theme of equipping children in understanding the emotions they may feel as they embark on the school chapter in their lives and opening the conversation between child and parent.

She is currently working on a new book series.
