Rob Baker

Rob Baker has lived nine years in Africa and loves writing about his adventures in this fascinating continent. His work as an ethnomusicologist has taken him to a dozen African countries, always with trials as well as joys. From surviving seven cases of malaria to meeting world-famous musicians; from eating rice and goat with his hand to a 17-hour canoe journey; every trip is full of excitement, danger and - most importantly - amazing people.

Rob now lives in the UK with his family, where he teaches music, plays jazz piano, and continues to write. He also returns to Africa whenever he gets the chance.
