Dennis Listort is now a freelance writer having served as a public school English teacher and junior high school building administrator for twenty-five years. He also was an inceptive member of the United Parcel Service Research and Development team that created the hand-held DIAD computer device used by drivers to record package and delivery information.
As a freelance writer, he has published four novels, poetry, short stories, opinion pieces and articles in magazines and newspapers, and has created several crossword puzzles for The New York Times.
His most recent work is The Afterdeath of Ethan Bishop (published 2020), available on Amazon Kindle. The Bethel Tales, was published (2019) by Austin Macauley Publishers, London. He is co-editor with his wife, Darilyn Stahl Listort, of The Wolves at My Shadow: The Story of Ingelore Rothschild, published (2018) by the Athabasca University Press, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and he is the author of The Writing Box, (published 2003), an adult contemporary urban novel.
Dennis has begun writing his fifth book, tentatively titled Song of the Iron Siren: Death on the Tracks (based on a personal true story).
