Sujit Sahgal

I have been in the financial services industry for the last 27 years and lived in Singapore for about 15 and the rest in India. Went to school in small towns of India like Bhopal and Ahmedabad. Went to graduate school in Mumbai, India's financial hub and moved to Singapore for work in 2001.

Have had a passion to write since my early years and have also been writing poetry since the age of 13. Even professionally my work has needed me to write all the time as I was a research analyst covering global IT services/ tech stocks for many years and used to write reports on a weekly basis through my career. This particular book came about because after spending nearly a decade going deep into rural India across nearly a dozen provinces in India and visiting nearly a hundred villages, the insights and observations I had were too powerful and would have been a waste if they were not published and shared with the society at large.
