Vanessa Lynn

L Grey - L, who’s at the center of the book, was determined to tell her own story. Precocious, courageous, and inspirational, L was wise beyond her years. She wrote with furious conviction about being misunderstood and seldom believed, being wheelchair-bound and then bed-ridden, and about dealing with constant, torturous physical pain. Nevertheless, L’s writing shows pure resiliency in its empathy, strength and forgiveness.

Vanessa Lynn, PhD - Vanessa is a mother first, and then a psychologist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Northwestern University, and a PhD in organizational behavior from the Kellogg School of Management. She is the proud mother of her two beautiful daughters, L and Jaz. She currently lives in the Chicago area with Jasmine and their dog, Evie.
