Andy Richter is a photographer and visual artist based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His first monograph, Serpent in the Wilderness, a photographic exploration of yoga, was published by Kehrer Verlag in 2018, and looks at rarely seen aspects of the practice from ashrams and caves throughout India to living rooms across America.

Richter’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. He has received numerous awards and been recognized by American Photography, Photolucida, the International Photography Awards, and the Minnesota State Arts Board. His work has been featured in The New York Times, National Geographic Magazine, GEO, Time, Leica Fotografie International, among others.
