Marcina McKeon Foster was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1952. She grew up in Plymouth, Michigan, a small mid-western town similar to Fenton. Her grandfather and father were big story tellers and she heard many tales - some believable and some not so much. She heard that her grandparents met the day her grandmother was born (true), she heard she was related to Wrong-Way Corrigan (not true), she heard Horace and Mary Rackham left their beautiful historic home at 90 Edison to her grandmother (true). As she sorted through old photos and letters and memorabilia she wanted to set the record straight and preserve these amazing stories for generations to come. Fortunately her grandfather had compiled a seven generation family tree and written brief biographies for many of their relatives. While these are stories from one family, every family has its stories. Its her hope this book will inspire others to look into their family's past and find some way to preserve their stories for generations to come.
"Stories from the Attic" is Marcie's first published work. She's currently working on "Stories from the Farm."
